Global Credit Trading & Syndicate - Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) Syndicate – Associate or Vice President

Are you ready to take on a high-impact role at the forefront of structured credit markets with one of the world's leading financial institutions? J.P. Morgan's Global Credit Trading & Syndicate franchise offers you the opportunity to play a central role in the placement of Primary CLO transactions, working alongside experienced deal teams and engaging with the most influential investors in the market. You will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise, relationships, and entrepreneurial drive will directly shape deal outcomes and contribute to the growth of our CLO franchise. We are committed to your professional development, offering mentorship, broad exposure across structured credit, and a platform to build a truly outstanding career. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in one of the most dynamic and technically sophisticated areas of the credit markets.

As an Associate or Vice President within the Primary Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) group, you will support and execute the syndication of primary CLO transactions, working closely with the CLO New Issue desk in J.P. Morgan's capacity as a placement agent. You will engage directly with CLO issuers, investors, and internal partners across structuring and sales to develop and implement marketing strategies that drive successful deal execution. Your role will give you broad exposure to the full lifecycle of CLO transactions, from initial structuring through to final placement, within a team that is widely recognised as a leader in the global CLO market.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for primary CLO transactions, with a focus on AAA and equity marketing as well as mezzanine debt syndication.
  • Leverage and expand relationships with anchor AAA and equity investors to support bond placement across new issue transactions.
  • Manage the end-to-end syndication process alongside the desk head and deal captains, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Partner with Structuring teams to facilitate manager and investor document negotiations throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Engage with CLO issuers, structuring, and sales teams across all phases of each transaction to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Cultivate and develop new CLO investor relationships, expanding the franchise's reach across the global investor landscape.
  • Design and implement tailored marketing strategies for new and emerging CLO managers entering the market.
  • Coordinate and conduct deal and non-deal related roadshows, representing J.P. Morgan's CLO franchise to investors globally.
  • Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of global CLO investor dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscape.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
