Global Cyber Security Engineer
UGI International | Full-Time, Permanent
Protect. Monitor. Improve. A Cyber Security Role with Real International Reach.
The Opportunity
UGI International is looking for a Global Cyber Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team — a role that sits at the operational heart of how we protect our people, systems and data across multiple markets.
This is a position with genuine breadth. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day administration of a modern, enterprise-grade security toolset, as well as contributing to risk assessments, threat monitoring, compliance activities and incident response. You’ll work closely with IT teams across UGI International’s business units: this is a truly international role, conducted in English, with exposure to a wide range of systems, environments and challenges.
We’re looking for someone with either a strong understanding of cyber security principles and frameworks, or a solid working knowledge of UGI International’s systems and IT environment: and we’re open to strong candidates who bring both, or who come to the role from a different but equally relevant direction.
What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Administering UGI’s core security toolset — including Taegis (SIEM/XDR), CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Zscaler, Rapid7, KnowBe4, Phish ER, Axonius, WASP/OCP and Security Scorecard
- Supporting the configuration and management of Azure and O365 security settings, including Entra ID, conditional access policies and MFA enforcement
- Analysing results from scheduled scanning and reporting; following up with IT staff on issues identified and maintaining accurate issue tracking
- Monitoring cloud security posture across Azure and O365, including security scores, policy compliance and cloud-native threat detections
- Raising, managing and tracking ServiceNow tickets to remediate security incidents, vulnerabilities and patching requests, in line with change and incident management processes
- Supporting incident response — contributing to documentation, methodology and the coordination of responses to security events
- Supporting the regular review of security processes, controls and technologies against industry best practices and relevant frameworks including GDPR, SOX ITGC, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST and CIS
- Communicating virus and patch protection alerts and monitoring anti-virus and patching compliance across the estate
- Performing Proof of Concept evaluations on new security products and technologies
- Researching InfoSec trends and analysing Threat Intelligence reports
- Contributing to UGI’s ongoing compliance activities and producing a monthly security metrics report for the Cybersecurity Manager

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
