About Performance Energy
Performance Energy is a specialist global workforce solutions business delivering technical manpower across the energy sector. We partner with some of the world’s leading operators and service companies, supplying high-calibre technical professionals across offshore, drilling, completions, intervention, production, and emerging energy projects.
As we continue to grow internationally, we’re looking for a Global Operations Director to build and lead the operational infrastructure required to support the next phase of our growth. This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence across the organisation and an opportunity to shape how the business scales over the coming years.
Why This Role Matters
Performance Energy has reached a stage where operational excellence will define our next phase of growth. We’re looking for a leader who wants to build systems rather than inherit them, improve performance rather than maintain it, and create an operation capable of supporting a significantly larger international business.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of our operational strategy, influence executive decision-making, and leave a lasting impact on how the business performs globally.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Director who can build scalable systems, lead high-performing teams, and drive operational excellence across the business. You’ll work closely with the executive leadership team, with the autonomy to improve processes, strengthen operational performance, and build an operation capable of supporting continued international growth.
This is not a role focused on maintaining existing processes. We’re looking for someone who thrives on improving them.
The Global Operations Director is responsible for all operational strategy, R&D, Compliance, Contract management, and international trade enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s global operations strategy.
- Build & develop all international trade relationships.
- Extend & open international Performance Energy offices.
- Lead and develop operational teams, creating a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Manage & Develop operations team members.
- Own (outcome) the full lifecycle of onboarding, mobilisation, service quality, and improvement.
- Design scalable operational processes that support international growth.
- Improve contractor mobilisation, operational compliance, and delivery performance.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive data-led improvements.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align operational priorities with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardise, and improve business processes.
- Ensure operational compliance, quality standards, and risk management are maintained across all regions.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional service standards for clients and contractors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
