Global Ecommerce Director

We are exclusively partnering with an exciting, high-growth consumer brand to appoint a Global Ecommerce Director at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious ecommerce leader who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and has a proven track record of scaling DTC brands through Shopify. You'll play a critical role in shaping the next phase of international growth, driving digital innovation and building a world-class ecommerce function.

The Opportunity
As Global Ecommerce Director, you will own the global ecommerce strategy, taking full accountability for online trading performance, customer experience and commercial growth across multiple international markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work at the intersection of ecommerce, technology, brand and customer, constantly identifying opportunities to improve conversion, optimise the customer journey and accelerate profitable growth.
Shopify sits at the heart of the ecommerce ecosystem, and we're looking for a leader who understands how to maximise its capabilities, challenge convention and continually evolve the digital experience.

Working closely with senior leaders across Brand, Product, Marketing and Operations, you'll influence business strategy, champion innovation and ensure ecommerce remains the engine room of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the global ecommerce strategy, supporting ambitious international growth plans.
- Own all ecommerce trading activity, delivering a best-in-class digital trading calendar that maximises revenue and customer engagement.
- Lead the optimisation and ongoing evolution of the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring a seamless, high-converting customer experience.
- Drive continuous improvements across conversion, average order value, customer lifetime value and retention.
- Partner closely with Performance Marketing, CRM and Brand teams to deliver integrated customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Use data, customer insight and experimentation to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial decisions.
- Champion innovation across merchandising, personalisation, UX and onsite optimisation.
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing ecommerce team capable of supporting continued international expansion.
- Work collaboratively across the wider business to ensure ecommerce is embedded within broader commercial decision making.
About You
We're looking for an ecommerce leader who combines strategic thinking with a strong trading mindset and has a passion for building and scaling digitally-led brands.

You'll bring:
- Proven experience leading ecommerce within a Shopify Plus environment.
- A strong background in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) retail or consumer brands.
- Experience working within a high-growth, founder-led or scale-up business, where pace, agility and commercial ownership are essential.
- A demonstrable track record of scaling ecommerce revenue across domestic and international markets.
- Deep understanding of digital trading, customer journey optimisation, merchandising, CRM, retention and lifecycle marketing.
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to use data to make confident, customer-focused decisions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across technology, marketing, product and operations.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly.
