Senior Global Employee Relations Specialist
Job Summary
This role is responsible for contributing to the global employee relations (ER) framework evolution, including communication and case studies. The incumbent delivers employee communications, supports performance management, offers expert ER consultation, and provides compliance guidance. They develop training programs, collaborate with stakeholders, and represent the organization in external disputes across all countries in HP’s region of operation.
Note: The incumbent is required to work from their designated HP office for a minimum of three days per week.
Responsibilities
Case Management & Investigations
- Manages and leads medium to high-complexity investigations, partners with stakeholders, and ensures timely closure.
- Contributes to knowledge management of ER and related processes.
Policy & Procedure Development
- Develops disciplinary recommendation risk assessments and reporting.
- Ensures disciplinary policies, procedures, practices, and documentation remain up to date.
- Examines case studies and contributes to the evolution of the global employee relations framework, including programs, policies, procedures, practices, and system enhancements.

Employee Communication & Engagement
- Develops and delivers employee communications related to talent management initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Ensures employees are informed of changes, updates, and relevant ER and talent management practices.
Performance Management Support
- Collaborates with HR, managers, and supervisors to provide consultation, guidance, and support on:
- Performance reviews
- Performance improvement plans (PIPs)
- Feedback conversations
Compliance & Legal Expertise
- Acts as an expert ER consultant, managing complex HR escalations while ensuring compliance with:
- Employment laws and regulations
- Company policies
- Keeps updated on regulatory changes and provides compliance guidance to management and employees.
- Partners with employment law, integrity councils, and HR in reviewing case findings and proposed HR recommendations.
Representation & Dispute Resolution
- Represents the organization in tribal cases, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Supports the management of relationships with employee representative groups (e.g., work councils, unions).

Education & Experience Recommended
A four-year degree or graduate qualification in:
- Human Resources
- Business Administration
- Labor Relations
- A related discipline, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated competence.
Typical experience: 7–10 years, preferably in:
- Employee Relations
- HR Generalist
- HR Compliance
- Labor Relations
- Employment & Labor Law
- A related field.
Preferred Certifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) / Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
- Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
