Job Description
Build the Global Engineering Centre That Will Define How GE Vernova Delivers at Scale
GE Vernova's Grid Automation (GA) business is ready to take its Global Engineering Competency Centre (GECC) in India — with teams in Noida and Chennai — to an entirely new level. The ambition is clear: evolve GECC India from an engineering support function into a world-class Global Solutions Centre that delivers high-quality, scalable, cost-competitive, and harmonised engineering solutions across all GA regions worldwide.
As GECC Transformation Leader, you will be the architect and principal driver of that evolution. This is a senior People Leader role with individual contributor depth — combining strategic organisational design, cross-regional stakeholder engagement, operational performance leadership, and talent development into a single, high-accountability mandate. You will partner with functional leaders and regional teams across the globe to design, execute, and embed a transformation that reshapes how GE Vernova engineers and delivers for its customers.
If you want a role where your decisions shape an entire organisation — and where the outcomes you deliver will be measured, visible, and lasting — this is it.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end transformation strategy and execution
- Own the full phased transformation roadmap from initial strategy approval through to full Global Solutions Centre readiness, ensuring milestones are met at each governance stage; drive change management adoption across all levels of the organisation; lead GECC India's evolution from design and configuration support to full project engineering ownership.
- Build and manage stakeholder alignment
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Voice of Customer (VoC) programme across all GA regions to understand pain points, build trust, and design the transformation roadmap; establish and manage a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework covering workload forecasting and rolling annual commitments between regions and GECC; and facilitate regular cross-regional collaboration forums, face-to-face workshops, and governance reviews to ensure sustained partnership and executive sponsorship.
- Drive operational excellence and quality
- Define, implement, and track core operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); lead the development and implementation of a Quality Framework across regions and GECC to close delivery gaps; champion AI-powered process automation and digital engineering tools to unlock productivity gains; and drive lean, standardised, and automated engineering processes that eliminate non-harmonised workflows.
- Lead capability building and talent strategy
- Partner with Human Resources (HR) and Talent Acquisition to attract and retain engineering talent in line with the growth plan; develop a structured capability assessment and ramp-up plan including training academies, knowledge transfer from regional teams, and induction programmes; establish clear career pathways and progression frameworks to support talent retention; and coordinate with the GSW GDC Romania team for leadership coaching, knowledge exchange, and capability benchmarking.
- Design and support the organisation
- Design and evolve a scalable, sustainable organisational model for GECC India; develop a formal service catalogue with defined scope, change control processes, and delivery standards; implement structured progress reporting for the Steering Committee and Executive Leadership; proactively identify and mitigate transformation risks; and provide leadership support to GECC India during the transformation phase as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
