We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Global Head of Channels Strategy, Technology and Network Management.

The opportunity
We’re hiring a global leader to set and deliver HSBC Wealth’s integrated channels strategy – uniting digital and physical distribution to drive growth, improve customer and colleague journeys, and simplify how we operate globally. You’ll define the future shape of Wealth channels – technology, operations and footprint – helping customers and colleagues get what they need faster, more securely, and more consistently across markets. This role sits in the Group Chief Commercial Office. You’ll partner closely with Market Distribution Heads and senior IWPB leaders across countries.

What You’ll Do
- Shape the global channels strategy (digital + physical)
- Set the global integrated channels strategy to drive acquisition, conversion, cross-sell, adoption and digital/self-service migration
- Define the end-to-end channel model across technology, people, process and operating model
- Orchestrate seamless cross-channel experiences while improving operational efficiency and resilience
- Bring external insight through customer data, industry trends, emerging tech, benchmarking and consultancies
- Own channels technology at Group scale (Global Product Owner)
- Product ownership for distribution technology from staff applications through to ATM estate
- Accountability for design, delivery and commercialisation, including CRM, MWS, customer tooling (appointment booking, eSignature), switch software and ATM software
- Lead two global value streams: Staff Channels and Branch & ATM (VSIP/FSA, portfolio health, OKRs, transformation resources and budgets)
- Own key vendor partnerships, funding models, and delivery SLAs
- Lead network strategy and optimisation
- Own physical footprint strategy and delivery across Wealth Centres, branches and ATMs
- Drive CAPEX planning, design standards, governance, post-implementation reviews and communications
- Manage business cases end-to-end—from approval to delivery—tracking commercialisation and ROI

What You’ll Bring
- Strong banking/financial services experience with proven delivery at global or multi-market scale
- Deep capability in distribution/channel technology and modern delivery methods (Agile, multi-disciplinary teams, vendor ecosystems)
- Confidence operating across strategy and execution—able to handle complex dependencies, negotiate trade-offs, and deliver outcomes at pace
- Executive-level influencing and “story-telling” backed by data, business cases and clear recommendations
- Strong understanding of risk, regulatory expectations and information security controls in a regulated environment
- People leadership in distribution and/or transformation roles (desirable); consulting/strategy background (desirable)
This role could be based in Hong Kong or London.
