Role Overview

This Director-level position is based in London and reports locally to the Head of EMEA Operations, with a functional reporting line to the Global Head of Operations. The role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the firm's global Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) function, driving a consistent and effective framework across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Client Lifecycle Management, AML, KYC and financial crime regulations, together with a strong understanding of global regulatory requirements. Candidates who currently hold, or have previously held, a senior regulatory leadership position—such as MLRO, Deputy MLRO, or an equivalent international role—will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

As the Global Head of CLM, you will have overall responsibility for the design, implementation and continuous enhancement of the firm's global CLM framework, including ownership of AML policies, procedures, controls and operating standards. You will lead international CLM teams, ensuring global consistency while maintaining compliance with local regulatory obligations and jurisdiction-specific requirements.

The role requires extensive collaboration with Operations, Risk, Compliance and Business stakeholders to ensure robust client onboarding, due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes are in place and operating effectively. You will act as a key partner to Risk and Compliance functions on matters relating to financial crime, regulatory change and risk management, ensuring the business maintains a strong and scalable control environment.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced global leader with a proven track record of building and leading CLM, AML or Financial Crime functions within a complex international financial services environment. Relevant professional qualifications in AML, Compliance, Risk or Financial Crime are highly desirable.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
