Global Head of Engineering

Global Head of Engineering at Brambles

Definition and Direction Brambles is seeking a Global Head of Engineering—a senior executive dedicated to defining and leading the company’s global engineering strategy. This key role empowers the organisation to deliver world-class pallet pooling and supply chain operations across 60+ countries, setting autonomous technical direction, driving innovation, and aligning engineering capabilities with business growth, operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

The position partner’s closely with the Head of Global Supply Chain and regional leadership to advance advanced automation and "Plant of the Future" capabilities, while maintaining global engineering standards, governance, and best practices. The role balances global standardisation with regional adaptability to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and resilient solutions.

Under this leader, engineering unlocks step-change improvements in asset reliability, uptime, safety, and cost optimisation through innovation, automation, and disciplined investment governance.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Engineering Leadership

• Provide global technical and engineering leadership across Brambles, ensuring alignment with supply chain objectives, safety requirements, and sustainability goals. • Develop and execute a global engineering strategy supporting business growth, operational excellence, automation, and long-term cost optimisation.

Transformation & Innovation

• Lead and inspire a diverse, multinational engineering organisation, building succession pipelines, capability uplift programmes, and a high-performance culture. • Own the global automation and "Plant of the Future" roadmap, overseeing major capital investments, technology deployments, and new facility builds. • Establish and enforce global engineering standards, safety protocols, and best practices, ensuring consistent application across regions and sites.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
