Job Description
Responsible for the Global equity selection, models and funds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build equity portfolio models based on geography, sectors or factors that global DPM uses for implementations.
- Fundamental equity analysis on individual stocks to feed into equity screening process.
- Effectively manage a team of equity analysts. Seek ways to improve and enhance the equity analysis process.
- Produce and maintain equity notes associated with the stock screening process, keeping abreast of company and market developments as required.
- Maintain notes within the appropriate database.
- Liaise with other portfolio managers globally to support them in large bespoke portfolios.
- Manage global single-asset equity mandates and potentially UK multi-asset portfolios.
- Communicate analysis and results to team members and the rest of EFG as appropriate.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to gathering more assets in DPM.
- Deliver strong investment process and rationales when it comes to equity portfolios.
- Aim to deliver above benchmark performance over the long term (3 years) in a risk-managed way.
- Monthly and ad-hoc communications to explain performance and decisions taken in the portfolio to other portfolio managers, ICs, CROs and clients.
- To assist the marketing department with providing adequate marketing material around equity portfolio management.
- To adhere to, and maintain knowledge of, all applicable legislation, including relevant parts of the FSA Handbook, and in particular Statements of Principal and Code of Practice for Approved Persons and the Training and Competence Sourcebook.
- Treat customers fairly and act in their best interests at each stage by meeting the unique needs of each customer offering a transparent, efficient and professional service.

Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience of managing a global equity analysis and portfolio construction.
- Numerical or Economics Degree (2:1 classification or above)
- Demonstrable understanding of products and the regulatory framework
- Strong technical / digital skills – experience with SharePoint (desirable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
- Economics background
- Ability to present data in a meaningful way - using KPIs and charts for senior stakeholders
- Good IT skills, with particular knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team orientated and able to develop effective working relationships.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Good time management skills
- Organised and detail oriented to meet deadlines and to produce an accurate output
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative
- Strong commercial acumen – client focused approach
