Wise is searching for a visionary Global Head of Health, Safety, Security and Travel (HSST) to spearhead our global resilience and duty of care strategy. Reporting to the VP of Global Real Estate, Workplace, and Risk, you will lead a multinational team to protect our people, workplaces, and continuity.
As a senior leader, you will manage physical security, health and safety, crisis management, and corporate travel as a single cohesive function. This mission requires strategic governance, empathetic leadership, and the ability to manage rapid crisis response across our global operations.
Your Mission
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Define the Vision: Implement a comprehensive global strategy for HSST that aligns with our broader business objectives.
- Global Compliance: Ensure the organisation meets all regional health and safety legislation, including HSE, OSHA, and local equivalents.
- Team Leadership: Mentor a dispersed team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Global Security & Crisis Management
- Threat & Risk Assessment: Oversee the evaluation of geopolitical and environmental risks to our global offices and Wisers.
- Crisis Response: Lead the Global Crisis Management Team to ensure Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) are mature and regularly tested.
- Physical Security: Standardise access control and surveillance measures across our entire global real estate portfolio.
Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
- Safety Culture: Champion a proactive safety-first mindset across all operational hubs and corporate offices.
- Incident Investigation: Oversee root-cause analyses for global safety incidents and implement frameworks to mitigate future risks.
Global Corporate Travel & Duty of Care
- Travel Program Management: Optimise global vendor management while balancing cost-efficiency with traveler well-being.
- Duty of Care: Implement cutting-edge tracking and emergency protocols for Wisers traveling on business.
Required Skills
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to brief C-suite executives during high-pressure crises.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-pound budgets and negotiating global vendor contracts.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes across EMEA, AMER, and APAC regions.
- Strong background in Security, Health & Safety, and Crisis Management leadership.
- Skills in managing and leading culturally diverse teams within a multinational environment.
- Experience in designing and executing global resilience and travel program strategies.

A Bit About You
- Significant experience in leading multi-functional HSST teams in complex multinational organisations.
- Highly strategic and visionary leader with a focus on global organisational resilience.
- Excellent at stakeholder management and briefing senior executives clearly and concisely.
- Extensive financial literacy, including multi-million-pound budget management.
Some Extra Skills That Would Be Awesome
- Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, CMIOSH, or NEBOSH Diploma.
- Experience with optimising vendor management for high-value travel and security contracts.
