Global Head of Internal Communications

Department: Enabling: Growth

Description

This role is open to candidates based in the UK or across the EMEA region.

We are looking for a purposeful and influential Global Head of Internal Communications to lead the internal employee and engagement communications agenda globally for Anthesis Group.

Reporting to the Global Head of Brand, Strategy & Communications, this role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a compelling strategic narrative that unites our global workforce around a shared sense of purpose, ambition, and direction.

This is an exciting and dynamic role for someone who understands that communication is not simply about informing people, it’s about creating belief, alignment, and action. You will help our people understand our growth strategy, our market opportunity, and the unique role they play in helping clients to create and protect value as they embed sustainability into their strategy and operations.

This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a compelling strategic narrative that unites our global workforce around a shared sense of purpose, ambition, and direction. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in creating compelling communication campaigns that combine strategic vision with exceptional execution to drive defined audience outcomes along with a genuine passion for sustainability and positive impact.

Key Responsibilities

As the Anthesis Group Global Head of Internal Communications, your key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on sustainability and related issues and trends and the potential impacts and opportunities for Anthesis Group’s brand positioning.
  • Developing strong trusted advisor relationships with Anthesis Group executive leadership and the Global Employee Experience Lead to develop a global internal communications and engagement strategy, that unites a community of 1,300+ Anthesis employees with a shared sense of purpose and ambition.
  • Collaborating closely with markets and global business line leaders, and BMC team colleagues to activate priority go-to-market solution positioning, campaigns, and thought leadership to ensure employees are equipped and prepared to engage with their clients and stakeholders in the market.
  • Reviewing and refining audience-led channel strategies, content frameworks, and feedback loops that are outcome-led, measurable, and continuously improved through insight and engagement data.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Experience:

  • Significant experience leading communications in a global organization or consultancy environment.
  • Proven success in developing and delivering strategic internal communications programs that drive engagement and business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience building corporate narratives and translating complex strategies into compelling communications.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong change communications and transformation experience.
  • Sustainability, ESG, or purpose-led business experience strongly preferred.
  • Agency experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience operating across multiple geographies and cultures.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Exceptional storytelling and narrative development skills.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness.
  • Highly effective stakeholder manager with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Calm, proactive, and responsive when managing reactive communications and emerging issues.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure impact and effectiveness.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
