We are seeking a Global Indirect Category Manager

Purpose

The Global Indirect Category Manager reports to the Director of Global Procurement, responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories across Ivy Technology. This Remote/Hybrid role drives cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across regions to deliver value, innovation, and operational excellence.

Principle Accountabilities / Duties

  • Assist in development and own implementation of global category strategies for indirect spend areas (e.g., IT, logistics, facilities, professional services, recycling, MRO, packaging, travel & expenses Mgmt etc).
  • Analyze market trends, supplier landscapes, and internal demand to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities and deliver cost reduction initiatives and track savings against targets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic suppliers globally & balance global strategy with local market requirements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance reviews. Build strong supplier relationships to drive innovation, quality, and service improvements.
  • Embed sustainability criteria into supplier selection and manage performance scorecards. Complete sustainable procurement questionaries to support external company assessments (i.e. ECOVADIS/RBA/CDP).
  • Implement total cost of ownership (TCO) models and benchmarking practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and sustainability standards & financial goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on category-related decisions. Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Finance, IT, Operations, HR, etc.) to align procurement strategies with business needs.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives within procurement (e.g., e-sourcing, analytics platforms).
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and systems.
  • Coach and develop indirect buyers competencies.

KPI's and Performance Metrics

  • Savings & Value: YoY realized hard savings; cost avoidance; cash improvements (payment terms/working capital).
  • Spend Under Management: Contract Mgmt and consolidation, % of indirect spend covered by contracts, vendor rationalisation, and category strategies.
  • Compliance & Cycle Time: PR-to-PO lead time; catalog adoption; maverick spend reduction; audit findings.
  • Supplier Performance & Risk: On-time delivery, quality incidents, corrective actions, continuity plans, risk scores, QBR schedules.
  • Sustainability & Ethics: % of targeted suppliers who signed the Supplier Code of Conduct; % of targeted contracts including environmental, labor, and human rights clauses; Completion of CSR assessments and remedial actions as required.
  • Process Standardization: 100% adoption of indirect procurement processes across all sites.
  • Digitalization Progress: Implement automated indirect purchasing tools in all sites.
