The VP, Global Insights Analyst is responsible for continuously monitoring what is happening across the asset management industry and within our own business—and translating that into real-time, decision-ready insight for leadership. This role helps ensure that leadership has a clear, current view of market direction, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities and risks—and a direct understanding of what those developments mean for the firm. In addition, this role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring that insights are delivered with the speed, clarity, and context required to shape firm-wide priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a current, forward-looking view of asset management industry trends (flows, product innovation, competitive positioning, client behavior)
- Provide regular, and often real-time, concise updates to senior leadership on what is happening and what it means for State Street Investment Management
- Distill complex data into clear insights across competitive threats, growth opportunities and shifts in client and market demands
- Frame “so what” and “what do we do next” as a core output—not an afterthought, driving the decision intelligence culture across the broader team
- Serve as central point of contact for time-sensitive, quick-hit insights deliverables from leadership, leveraging vast array of both internal and external data sources to drive the organization forward

Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in market intelligence, business analytics, strategy, or related roles
- Experience in asset management strongly preferred
- Familiarity with industry data sources across product vehicles and client segments (flows, holdings, competitive data, industry research, etc.)
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner that directly leads to decision making
- Demonstrated ability to develop executive-level narratives and recommendations
- Executive presence, with experience providing insights to leadership that move the business forward
