Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Programme Management
- Design, place, and manage the global insurance programme (including PI, GL, D&O, Cyber, Property, Employers’ Liability, and specialty lines).
- Lead annual renewals, including programme structure, limits, deductibles, layering, and coverage optimisation.
- Ensure consistency and alignment across regions while accommodating local regulatory requirements.
Broker & Insurer Management
- Manage relationships with insurance brokers and insurers globally.
- Lead broker tenders, performance reviews, and underwriting submissions.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage enhancements.

Claims Oversight
- Oversee claims notification, management, and settlement in coordination with the General Counsel.
- Monitor claims trends, loss ratios, and root causes.
- Support implementation of loss prevention and risk mitigation measures.
Risk & Financial Strategy
- Develop and advise on risk financing strategies (deductibles, self-insured retentions, captives, alternative risk transfer where relevant).
- Analyse insurance spend, claims experience, and programme efficiency.
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to insurance and claims.

Legal, Contracts & M&A Support
- Advise on insurance implications in contracts, tenders, and client negotiations.
- Ensure alignment between insurance coverage, contractual indemnities, and limitation-of-liability provisions.
- Support M&A, carve-outs, and restructuring activities from an insurance and risk perspective.
Governance & Reporting
- Prepare regular reports for the EXCOM.
- Maintain insurance policies, schedules, certificates, claims trackers, and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with local insurance laws and contractual insurance obligations.
