Global Internal Communications Lead
Lead and Deliver Global Internal Communications Strategy
Ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with business priorities, transformation initiatives, and organisational performance. Partner with senior leaders to drive employee engagement, leadership communications, and change programmes across a complex international organisation.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Execute Global Internal Communications Strategy
- Align with organisational objectives, business priorities, culture initiatives, and transformation programmes.

Partner with Executive Leadership
- Create and deliver communication plans to increase employee understanding of business strategy, performance, organisational changes, and key priorities.

Lead Global Employee Engagement Campaigns
- Ensure consistent messaging across topics including health and safety, cybersecurity, compliance, operational excellence, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing, and culture.

Create and Oversee Communication Content
- Develop high-quality content across multiple channels, including leadership messages, newsletters, articles, videos, presentations, toolkits, and digital campaigns.

Manage Executive Communications Programmes
- Oversee CEO and leadership messaging, global town halls, leadership forums, business updates, Q&A sessions, and major organisational announcements.

Drive Change and Transformation Communications
- Ensure employees understand the rationale, impact, and benefits of change while supporting successful adoption.

Act as a Trusted Communications Advisor
- Provide guidance on messaging, stakeholder engagement, communication risks, and best practices.

Develop Communication Plans for Major Projects
- Coordinate plans for organisational restructures, digital transformation programmes, and business-critical initiatives, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all stakeholder groups.

Optimise Internal Communication Channels
- Manage intranet platforms, Microsoft Teams, Viva Engage, and other digital collaboration tools to ensure engaging, accessible, and aligned content.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work closely with HR, IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and regional business teams to coordinate communications and maintain message consistency globally.

- Support Employee Listening Strategies
- Develop and execute strategies including engagement surveys, pulse surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms, using insights to inform communication activities.
Experience & Qualifications

Experience
- 10+ years in internal communications within a global, matrixed organisation.

Proven Track Record
- Successful development and execution of employee communication strategies that support business objectives and organisational change.

Leadership Communications
- Strong experience in leadership communications, executive messaging, employee engagement, events management, and large-scale change communications.

Global Communications Programmes
- Demonstrated experience managing global communications programmes across multiple regions, cultures, and stakeholder groups.

Content Creation Skills
- Excellent content creation, storytelling, and editorial skills, with the ability to translate complex business messages into clear, engaging communications.

AI-Enabled Communications Tools
- Experience using AI-enabled communications tools and technologies is advantageous.
