What You’ll Do

You’ll shape the future of AI-driven platforms, leading BCG’s next-gen Gen AI and autonomous agent ecosystem. This role offers an unprecedented opportunity to build critically impactful systems—architecting the foundational intelligence layers that power BCG’s global AI solutions.

As Platform Team Lead, you’ll:

  • Define the strategic vision for BCG’s core AI/gen AI platform, including LLM orchestration, contextual memory, and knowledge graphs to enable enterprise-scale reasoning.
  • Lead the AI Development Kit (ADK), ensuring seamless adoption across hundreds of teams—from developer tooling to scalable use-case accelerators.
  • Architect cloud-native, AI-first systems leveraging AWS, GCP, and Azure to balance performance, safety, scalability, and responsible innovation (RAI).
  • Scale BCG-wide AI capabilities, aligning cross-functional teams (Data, Security, Engineering) while fostering a high-performing culture of excellence.

1️⃣ Lead BCG’s Core AI and Intelligence Layer Strategy

  • Own and refine BCG’s Gen AI and Autonomous Agent platform ambitions—including LLM orchestration, long-term memory, and semantic knowledge frameworks.
  • Design the roadmap for the AI Platform Development Kit (ADK), ensuring it remains a unified, developer-ready, and scalable toolkit.
  • Architect platform-wide safety, interoperability, and responsible AI standards—governing cross-functional teams (Data, Security, Infrastructure, and Business Ops).

2️⃣ Engineer Scalable, AI-Native Systems

  • Develop cloud-native, enterprise-grade AI components (vector databases, knowledge graphs, multimodal reasoning) across BCG’s global operations.
  • Define AI solution archetypes to accelerate team-based use cases with reusable SDKs, tooling, and accelerators.
  • Partner with BCG’s cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) to optimise performance, cost, and compliance.

3️⃣ Build and Scale High-Performing Teams

  • Lead senior engineering and platform teams, driven by innovation, accountability, and technical leadership.
  • Coach and mentor top-tier talent, embedding best practices in engineering excellence.
  • Foster collaboration between tech, security, devops, and business functions to co-develop robust AI workflows.

4️⃣ Drive Delivery and Operational Excellence

  • Own end-to-end development pipelines for platform components, ensuring streamlined CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and AIOps/DevSecOps integrations.
  • Establish enterprise-level AI observability to monitor LLMs, safety, performance, and interpretability.
  • Overhaul LLMOps pipelines, reviewing and improving evaluation/quality and delivery frameworks.

✨ Leadership & Delivery

✅ 15+ years in enterprise engineering leadership, software product ownership, or AI/Gen AI platform management. ✅ 10+ years of domain experience, including:

  • 5+ years as a Senior Director (or equivalent) in AI/ML engineering or product scaling.
  • SME in AI and generative AI architectures, with evidence of innovation in scaling or designing platforms. ✅ Proven ability to mentor cross-functional teams and orchestrate enterprise transformation.

🤖 Technical Expertise

✔ BSc/MSc in AI, Computer Science, or relevant engineering (or equivalent experience). ✔ Rock-solid expertise in architecting AI/ML ecosystems, with hands-on experience in:

  • LLM-based systems, local versus cloud LLM orchestration;
  • Knowledge graphs, semantic search, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
  • Agent frameworks/platforms (Llamaindex, LangChain, AutoGen) integrating recursive reasoning.
  • MLOps/LLMOps best practices, CI/CD, AIOps, and observability at scale. ✔ Minimal recently Developers in Python, Rust/Go, Kubernetes, and cloud-native stacks (GCP/AWS/Azure).
