Business Technology & Digital Solutions is a rapidly growing organization driving digital transformation at FUJIFILM Biotechnologies. As part of the End User Services / Global Digital Workplace within Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), this role plays a critical part in ensuring stable, efficient, secure, and compliant End User Computing (EUC) services globally.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Global Lead, Desktop Engineering to define, lead, and evolve the organization’s global End User Computing (EUC) platforms, standards, and services across FLBG. This role is accountable for setting the global EUC strategy, governing engineering standards, and ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant endpoint services across all regions.

The position leads global engineering teams, defines operating models, and drives alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements (including GxP), ITIL frameworks, and corporate standards. The successful candidate will drive enterprise-wide EUC transformation, modern endpoint management (Intune, SCCM, Jamf), and automation while ensuring an optimal end-user experience.

This is a leadership role requiring a visionary and execution-focused individual capable of scaling global platform engineering, enabling digital productivity, and ensuring operational excellence.

Principal Accountabilities (Leadership-Focused)

EUC Strategy & Global Governance (25%)

  • Define and own the global Desktop Engineering / EUC strategy across FLBG
  • Establish global standards for endpoint architecture, device lifecycle, and configuration management
  • Build and govern EUC operating models aligned with ITIL, GxP, and corporate policies
  • Define KPIs, SLAs, SLOs, and engineering maturity models
  • Ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance across all EUC services

Global Leadership & Organizational Development (20%)

  • Lead and develop a global Desktop Engineering organization (regional engineers, SMEs, partners)
  • Define capability roadmap, organizational structure, and talent strategy
  • Build a high-performance, service-oriented, and engineering excellence culture
  • Act as senior escalation point and decision authority for EUC-related matters
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Service Desk, Infrastructure, Security, and Applications

Platform Engineering & Architecture Ownership (20%)

  • Own global architecture for endpoint platforms (Windows, macOS)
  • Govern endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, Tanium, Autopilot)
  • Define engineering standards for:
    • Device provisioning and imaging
    • Software packaging and deployment
    • Patch and vulnerability management
  • Drive automation, self-service, and zero-touch deployment strategies

Service Stability, Performance & Experience (15%)

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of global EUC services
  • Define and monitor service performance metrics (MTTR, CSAT, device health, compliance)
  • Partner with Service Desk and BRPs to optimize supportability and ticket reduction
  • Drive proactive problem management and root cause analysis
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality global end-user experience

Security, Compliance & Risk Management (10%)

  • Ensure endpoint compliance with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements (GxP)
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity to implement endpoint protection and hardening
  • Govern patching, encryption, and identity-related endpoint controls
  • Ensure audit readiness and documentation of all EUC processes

Vendor, Financial & Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Own vendor strategy and partnerships for EUC platforms and hardware
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement using data, insights, and automation
  • Establish reporting dashboards for executive visibility

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree (preferred for global leadership roles)

Experience Requirements (Leadership-Aligned)

  • 15+ years of experience in End User Computing / Desktop Engineering
  • 5+ years in leadership roles (team leadership, global or regional responsibility)
  • Proven experience operating in highly regulated environments (GxP)

Technical Leadership Expertise

  • Endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, Jamf, Autopilot, Tanium)
  • Windows and macOS enterprise environments
  • Active Directory, GPO, identity integration
  • Device lifecycle management and engineering standards
  • ITSM tools and ITIL-based service environments

Knowledge & Skills (Enhanced for Global Leadership)

Strategic & Leadership Skills

  • Ability to define and execute global EUC strategies
  • Strong stakeholder management (engineers → executives)
  • Organizational design and capability building
  • Financial and vendor governance
  • Data-driven decision making

Technical & Engineering Expertise
