The Role: Risk & Compliance Learning Design Consultant
You’ll design holistic, globally scalable learning experiences for BCG’s Risk function, ensuring employees don’t just memorise compliance—but confidently apply it daily.
Key Focus Areas
✔ Intersection of strategy and execution—design engaging, practical, and behaviourally impactful learning solutions rooted in BCG’s world-class consultancy model. ✔ Targeted content synthesis—map key compliance milestones across the employee lifecycle to craft a cohesive, modular learning ecosystem:
- Formal training
- Digital microlearning
- Just-in-time tools ✔ Scaled behaviour change—convert complex regulatory frameworks into learner-friendly narratives through:
- Storytelling that enhances comprehension
- Real-world scenarios for hands-on application
- Behavioural design (SPACE model*/implementation intentions* techniques)

Core Accountabilities

Learning Design Excellence
- Craft engaging, behaviour-transforming learning experiences
- Simplify technical/legal jargon into digestible, story-driven frameworks

Modality & Format Expertise
- Develop multi-modal courses (e.g., virtual live, interactive eLearning, microlearning, blended formats)
- Specialise in eLearning tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Rise 360, Captivate, Storyline)
- Optimise learning for mobile-first and workflow integration

Needs-Driven Analysis
- Conduct stakeholder & learner audits to identify knowledge gaps/risk areas
- Apply learner-centric design principles to refine solutions

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with SMEs, Legal, HR, and L&D to ensure alignment, relevance, and impact across global teams
- Advocate for high-quality, ethical priorities in high-pressure environments
- SPACE model examples: Setting intentions, Planning behaviour, Adapting environments, Controlling triggers

Project & Delivery Leadership
- Manage multiple live projects from inception to rollout
- Deliver on-brand, high-standard outputs, with alignment to BCG’s performance culture & collaboration model
Requirements
Experience (Non-Negotiables)
- 5+ years in instructional design, learning experience design (LXD), or related fields (e.g., multimedia, education).
- Learning strategy & implementation, with proven results in knowledge retention & behaviour change.
- Regulatory/compliance learning expertise, ideally in high-stakes industries (consulting, finance, tech).
- Digital learning execution—hands-on experience with Articulate 360 (365), Captivate, LMS platforms, and creating interactive experiences.
