This is a two year fixed term contract.

This is a rare opportunity to join Specsavers at an exciting moment in our finance transformation journey. As we continue our mission to change lives through better sight and hearing, we're building a brand-new Property Finance team that will play a critical role in managing global lease accounting across a portfolio with annual spend exceeding £100 million. If you're a qualified accountant with a passion for driving accuracy, improving processes and influencing stakeholders across an international business, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact from day one.

As our Global Lease Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the Group's global lease accounting processes, ensuring lease data from territories around the world is translated accurately and consistently into our consolidated FRS102 reporting framework. Working closely with international finance teams and our external system partner, you'll drive the delivery and optimisation of ProLease Enterprise, driving high-quality reporting outputs that support Group reporting and consolidation. You'll be at the centre of a significant finance transformation programme, helping to establish robust, scalable processes and controls that will shape the future of lease accounting at Specsavers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a highly analytical and commercially curious mindset. You'll have a proven track record of working with UK GAAP, lease accounting and financial controls, alongside experience improving complex finance processes and challenging data to ensure accuracy and integrity. Just as importantly, you'll be a confident communicator who can build trusted relationships across global teams, influence stakeholders at all levels and provide coaching, guidance and support to colleagues. Your ability to navigate complexity, drive change and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment will be key to success.

In return, you'll join a business that is committed to creating a place where colleagues are proud to belong and empowered to thrive. This is an opportunity to take a lead role in a newly established function, working with senior stakeholders across an international organisation while helping to define best practice in a critical area of finance. If you're resilient, ambitious and excited by the opportunity to combine technical expertise, stakeholder leadership and process transformation in a highly visible role, we'd love to hear from you.
