Global Legal Counsel - Employment | London (3 days in office)
We're excited to be partnering on a newly created opportunity for a Legal Counsel, Employment to join a fast-growing, global knowledge-services business, headquartered in London with offices across nine major cities worldwide.
This is an opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer who wants genuine ownership of the employment legal function within a dynamic, fast-paced, international business — advising across the full employee lifecycle while shaping policy, process, and risk management at a global scale.
The Role
Sitting within a small but high-impact global Legal team, you'll work closely with Legal colleagues across the US, Europe, and Asia, as well as global HR and Recruiting. You'll take ownership of employment risk across the business — standardising contracting, advising on everything from hiring and performance management to terminations and internal investigations, and managing external counsel globally as needed. You'll also have scope to update and enhance employment templates, handbooks, and processes as the business continues to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
