Global Logistics Specialist – Trade Compliance & Logistics (Hybrid/UK-Based)

About the Role
We are seeking a resolute and detail-orientated Global Logistics Specialist to drive trade compliance and logistics excellence, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to international regulations. You will work collaboratively across Sales, Customer Operations, Supply Chain, and Project teams to optimise transportation, compliance, and operational performance—all while fostering a safety-first culture.
This role is based in Hybrid/UK and reports to the Head of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
Trade Compliance
- Manage import and export customs declarations, ensuring 100% compliance with:
- Customs regulations, trade agreements, and sanctions
- Export controls and tariff classification
- Valuation, origin determinations, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) reviews.
- Identify and action duty savings opportunities through FTAs, duty relief programs, and trade compliance optimisation.
- Provide guidance and support for international projects and shipments, minimising delays.
- Lead customs audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory reporting activities.
- Escalate risks and ensure adherence to corporate sustainability and ESG policies.
Logistics Coordination
Coordinate full-spectrum logistics, including:
- Manufacturing support: Handling part/component deliveries for global supply chain and production線.
- Project execution: Final-mile battery deliveries and fall-off load coordination.
- Field services: Domestic and international shipments for global installations and maintenance.
- Reverse logistics: Managing returns, authorisations, and surplus material disposal efficiently.
- Documsјске requirements: Preparing certifications, dangerous goods declarations, and international shipping manifests.
- Carrier relationships: Partnering with freight forwarders, logistics providers, and customs brokers.
- Risk mitigation: Identifying potential disruptions and ensuring supply chain resilience.

Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Champion cross-functional collaboration to reduce operational costs and enhance efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, aligned with Invinity’s operational and sustainability goals.
- Work closely with Sales, Projects, Customer Support, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer commitments.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or related field.
- Practical logistics or customs compliance experience (5+ years’ post-qualification), preferably within high-tech or energy sectors.
- Familiarity with HMRC, CBP, or other customs regulations—including FTAs, tariff classifications, and export controls.
- /logistics certifications (e.g., CIEL, WBCSD, or Incoterms knowledge) advantageous but not essential.
- Technical understanding of global shipper contracts, freight forwarders, and carrier requirements.
- Regulatory experience with harmonised systems (HS) coding, EDI/Link will be a bonus.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage high volumes of customs compliance tasks.
- Strong analytical mindset with capacity to evaluate opportunity costs and bottlenecks.
- Leadership and influence within cross-functional and international teams.
- Excellent communication skills—clearly translating technical requirements for diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative and proactive, with CS deliverability.
- Commitment to health, safety, security, and environmental sustainability (HSSE).
