The Global Logistics Specialist, UK & Europe
The Global Logistics Specialist, UK & Europe supports the execution of global logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and compliant movement of hardware, parts, and related materials across domestic and international networks. This role partners with internal teams, carriers, third-party warehouse providers across Europe, and other third-party logistics providers to deliver reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions while maintaining high service levels and adherence to trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end domestic and international shipments, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, final delivery, and third-party logistics coordination.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, and logistics providers to schedule and monitor shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, sanction screening, Intrastat reporting, country restrictions, and company policies.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation (commercial invoices, bills of landing, certificates of origin, packing lists, proof of delivery, export paperwork, tracking references, and other transport documents as required).
- Monitor shipments using tracking tools and provide proactive updates and exception management to customers, account teams, client operations, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, tracking numbers, serial number data, delivery confirmations, and performance and exception reporting within company systems.
- Identify and resolve delays, discrepancies, and service issues to minimise disruption.
- Provide accurate and timely freight quotes, including duties, taxes, and accessorial costs.
- Analyse shipment requirements and recommend efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions while identifying opportunities to improve workflows, visibility, cost control, service levels, and communication standards.
- Work closely with warehouses, integration teams, sales, client operations, finance, and external logistics providers to ensure smooth execution and assist with RMAs as needed.
- Comply with all company information security, confidentiality, and data protection policies when handling company systems, customer data, or proprietary information.

Essential Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, order management, or customer operations, preferably in IT hardware, technology distribution, or a related environment.
- 2+ years of customer service or client-facing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes, including shipping paperwork, carrier coordination, export documentation, and delivery tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with parcel and freight tracking systems and comfort working in ERP, CRM, shipping, and order tracking systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy especially when managing order data, serial number data, tracking details, and compliance-related documents.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and deadlines.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and exception management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Good commercial awareness, including cost sensitivity, service expectations, and the operational impact of delays or errors.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of related logistics experience, preferably supporting global hardware deployments, datacenter deliveries, or white-glove technology logistics.
- Knowledge of UK/EU export laws and broader import and export controls, tariff codes, ECCN, customs documentation, and country-specific shipping requirements.
- Experience with software programs relevant to logistics operations, including Salesforce, order management platforms, or lifecycle visibility tools.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, integrators, and specialist carriers.

£30,000 - £40,000 a year
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
