About the Role: Global Meetings & Events Strategy Lead

As the Global Meetings & Events Strategy Lead, you’ll shape FCM’s end-to-end Meetings & Events (M&E) value proposition across global markets. This mission-driven role requires you to design a best-in-class internal M&E framework that empowers our teams while serving as a transformative model for clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a unified global M&E programme to demonstrate strategic excellence across FCM.
  • Partner with commercial teams to articulate the benefits of integrated Travel & Events management and differentiate the FCM offering.
  • Build and present advanced financial and data models to demonstrate efficiency improvements, leakage reduction, and ROI enhancements.
  • Develop scalable strategic frameworks and toolkits to support client retention, growth, and new business acquisition.
  • Collaborate globally to drive innovation, evolve products, and scale services efficiently.
  • Provide overarching commercial and financial oversight across all enterprise-level event portfolios.
  • Represent FCM externally as a thought leader in M&E, shaping market discourse and supporting go-to-market strategies.
  • Influence organisational decision-making by providing data-driven insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations tied to revenue and retention.

About You & Fit for Success

You’re a seasoned Meetings & Events strategist with a track record of delivering enterprise-level transformation. With 8–10+ years of strategic M&E leadership, you’ll bring financial governance expertise, commercial acumen, and the confidence to drive change at all levels.

Key Requirements:

Experience & Expertise:

✔ Proven experience leading complex, enterprise-level M&E programmes. ✔ Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, ROI analysis, and commercial management. ✔ Portfolio of success in guiding clients through strategic change, positioning value at C-suite levels. ✔ hands-on experience collaborating with Consulting, Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams. ✔ Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to shapen commercial narratives for external stakeholders. ✔ Strong familiarity with GDS platforms (Sabre/Amadeus), M&E software, and FCM’s mid-office systems. ✔ High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). ✔ Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Event Management, or related field.

✔ Highly self-motivated, with the ability to excel autonomously. ✔ Exceptional relationship-builder with cross-functional collaboration competencies. ✔ Mastery of written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complexity for any stakeholder. ✔ Proficient in problem-solving, leadership, and time management. ✔ Advanced customer-centric mindset, driven by results, value delivery, and adaptability. ✔ Capable of thriving under pressure while driving measurable outcomes. ✔ Strong skills in strategic negotiation, change management, and high-impact delivery.
