Global Mobility Manager
At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that removes barriers to living. Join us as a Global Mobility Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering employees to build international careers while ensuring strategic, compliant, and impactful mobility decisions for our global business.
You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to shape talent deployment across borders and influence future mobility strategies.
About the Role
As a Global Mobility Manager, you will:

Own the end-to-end global mobility experience, managing:
- International assignments
- Relocations
- Cross-border professional moves
- From initial planning through to seamless execution

Serve as a trusted advisor to:
- People teams
- Talent Acquisition
- Business leaders

Guide stakeholders in selecting optimal mobility solutions aligned with business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Work across a variety of scenarios:
- Business travel
- Remote work
- Long-term relocations

Clarify complex compliance requirements, including:
- Immigration (US exposure is highly advantageous)
- Tax considerations
- Risk management

Ensure every employee mobility decision is both compliant and prioritizes employee experience.

Use data-driven insights to:
- Identify trends in mobility needs
- Improve and enhance our global mobility programs
- Foster consistency, efficiency, and innovation
Key Responsibilities
- Driving strategic mobility solutions that align employee mobility objectives with broader company goals.
- Building strong partnerships and advising senior management on mobility decisions.
- Ensuring adherence to global regulatory requirements while maintaining an employee-centric approach.
- Leveraging analytics and insights to continually refine and improve mobility policies and procedures.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must bring:
- 6 to 9 years of experience in global mobility, with:
- Deep understanding of regulatory complexity
- Focus on risk mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in:
- Business travel policies
- Remote work arrangements
- Immigration procedures (prior experience with US immigration is an asset)
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and identify mobility trends.
- A solution-oriented mindset to navigate ambiguity while solving challenges.
- Familiarity with Workday or global mobility technology would be advantageous.
