Global New Business Director – Risk Intelligence (Dragonfly & Oxford Analytica)

Role Overview
The Global New Business Director will play a pivotal role in strategic commercial growth, consistently hitting—and exceeding—new business quotas for the Global Risk Insights (GRI) team. Based in London, this senior leadership position is responsible for:
- Managing, coaching, and scaling a high-performing team of sales executives and specialists across the UK, US, and Singapore
- Driving the go-to-market strategy to accelerate subscription revenue for two of the world’s most respected intelligence brands: Dragonfly and Oxford Analytica
- Transforming the sales approach into a highly sophisticated, data-led engine, leveraging metrics, market segmentation, and structured pipelines to identify new buying centres and ensure target revenue delivery
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Directly lead, motivate, and coach a globally distributed sales team of executives and specialists to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets
- Provide executive-level mentorship on multi-stakeholder sales cycles, complex negotiations, and high-value pipeline management
- Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
Pipeline & Ecosystem Development
- Develop robust new business pipelines through territory planning and progressive prospecting, selecting optimal networking events and marketing initiatives
- Partner closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to optimize outbound strategies, enhance lead qualification, and deepen market penetration
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish a bidirectional referral pipeline and participate in enterprise-wide sales teams

Data-Driven Revenue & Strategy Execution
- Implement best-practice pipelines using trackable metrics, CRM efficiency, sales velocity, and road-to-quota forecasting
- Own the global new business pipeline, delivering accurate forecasts to executive leadership to ensure quota attainment
Go-To-Market & Product Positioning
- Accelerate enterprise subscription growth for Dragonfly’s cybersecurity intelligence and Oxford Analytica’s macro-political risk insights
- Articulate the unique value proposition of geopolitical foresight, operational security intelligence, and Dow Jones’ broader risk-compliance solutions
- Guide the team in selling complex, high-value intelligence products—combining proprietary data, research, and expertise to help clients manage risk and build resilience
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a defined sponsor on high-value deals, building trusted relationships with C-suite decision-makers in corporate, financial, and government sectors
- Model consultative selling methodologies, mapping risk products to clients’ strategic business needs
Required Skills & Experience
- Sales Leadership: Minimum 10 years in B2B sales, with 5+ years of team management track record—consistently exceeding targets in competitive environments
- Domain Expertise: Deep background in subscription-based intelligence services, including geopolitical risk insights, country risk analysis, and security advisory sales
- Data-Driven Revenue: Proven ability to design, execute, and optimize a structured sales engine using CRM analytics, pipeline tracking, and forecasting
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience navigating matrixed teams to secure referrals, manage joint selling, and close complex, long-cycle deals
- Executive Presence: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills—able to engage senior stakeholders confidently
