About the role
As a Global Onboarding Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing bp's global onboarding experience, ensuring every new hire has a seamless journey from offer acceptance through to their first day.

This role requires a strong programme management mindset, the ability to influence across a complex global organisation, and a passion for using data, technology, and stakeholder collaboration to continuously improve the employee experience.
Please note that roles based out of SJS or Sunbury will move to Timber Square, Southwark, from Q4 2027.
What you'll be doing
- Support the development and delivery of bp's global onboarding strategy, creating a consistent and engaging experience for new hires worldwide.
- Lead onboarding improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and ways of working, finding opportunities to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, O+A, People Analytics, and other key stakeholders to drive onboarding excellence and governance.
- Use data, customer feedback, and performance metrics to identify trends, measure success, and implement continuous improvements.
- Act as a trusted advisor on onboarding best practices, influencing partners and driving alignment across multiple teams and functions.
- Monitor onboarding KPIs and provide insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Support supplier performance reviews and help ensure a compliant, high-quality onboarding experience for all new hires.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
