Global Procurement Manager, IT & Digital

We are looking for a [Global Procurement Manager for IT & Digital] who is strategic, influential, and deeply knowledgeable about technology to join our Procurement team at UCB, based out of Brussels, Belgium or Slough, UK.
About the Role
As the Global Procurement Manager IT & Digital, you will ensure the organization secures optimal value when acquiring technology, including:
- Software
- Hardware
- Telecom solutions
You will collaborate closely with Digital Technology business leaders to:
- Understand organizational needs
- Assess technology vendors
- Negotiate optimal commercial terms
- Proactively manage global technology spend
Your strong, current knowledge of IT and digital trends will enable you to:
- Make informed decisions
- Drive procurement excellence
- Work effectively across multiple regions and regulatory landscapes
Who You’ll Work With
You will operate within a global remit and serve as a key advisor to:
- Digital Technology leadership
- Cross-functional internal stakeholders
- Strategic suppliers
Key responsibilities include:
- Building productive supplier relationships
- Partnering with internal teams to support business needs
- Acting as a trustworthy technology sourcing, risk management, and sustainability advisor
What You’ll Do
- Manage a global Technology spend and oversee end-to-end technology procurement processes
- Develop and implement technology category strategies for proactive spend management
- Identify opportunities to optimize technology spend and enhance supplier value
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers
- Identify potential suppliers and lead supplier selection efforts
- Manage complex RFI/RFP processes using procurement-approved tools
- Provide fact-based sourcing recommendations while considering:
- Market dynamics
- Competitive trends
- Negotiate commercial terms and ensure contractual compliance in partnership with Legal
- Embed risk management and sustainability requirements into supplier contracts
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and approve POs within defined thresholds

Requirements
Essential
-
Minimum 8 years’ experience in:
- Strategic procurement
- Sales
- Digital technology roles

Strong negotiation and supplier management experience, especially within the technology domain

Excellent:
- Communication abilities
- Stakeholder engagement skills
- Leadership capability

Deep understanding of the IT/Digital landscape, with the ability to:
- Stay curious
- Adapt to a changing environment

Team-oriented and collaborative mindset with a commitment to diversity and inclusion

Fluency in English
