An Exciting Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for someone who is passionate about the crushing industry within the mining sector. This newly created position focuses on leading our standard crushing product group, including jaws, cones, and impactors.
Scope
- P&L ownership of the crushing product group
- Crushing product line technology
Key Accountabilities
- Management of global product group: Responsible for the global operating income (OI), revenue, and EBITA profit and loss (P&L).
- Development and profitability: Lead the growth and profitability of product lines across their entire life cycle, with primary responsibility for Capital OI/CM and secondary responsibility for Service OI/CM.
Strategic and Development Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and align them with product development plans.
- Drive R&D activities, establish product development roadmaps, and ensure timely completion and introduction of new or improved products.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, monitor trends, and identify organic growth opportunities and potential mergers/acquisitions.

Sales and Commercial Leadership
- Work with regional sales organizations to formulate strategies and plans for achieving profitable growth in product line sales.
- Define staffing requirements for Regional Product Line Managers (RPLMs) across regions.
- Establish and enforce global pricing strategies to maximize margins while achieving operating income (OI) targets.
Operational and Supply Chain Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Procurement, Regions, and Services Business Line to determine appropriate global inventory levels and stocking locations.
- Establish the global value chain for each product line, including supplier and logistics strategies, to ensure competitiveness.
- Work with Procurement to update and implement sourcing plans.
- Oversee the Industry Sales Support (ISS) function, responsible for proposal preparation and pricing in response to customer requests for proposal (RFP).
Engineering and Collaboration
- Manage the engineering function related to the Product Group, working with the Head of Standards & Applications to drive:
- Improved product quality
- Increased productivity
- Operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the Services Business Line to develop profit-driven strategies for service revenue, including:
- Spare/wear parts
- Retrofits/upgrades
- Additional services
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in the mining industry, specializing in mineral processing or a related field.
- Significant customer interaction in roles such as:
- Sales
- Commercial negotiations
- Order/project execution
- Working knowledge of FLSmidth product lines is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: 1,270,000 DKK – 1,720,000 DKK
