Global Project Management Leader
Senior Program Manager – Laboratory Operations (OneSource Account Ambassador)
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager and Program Ambassador to deliver exceptional performance in a fast-paced global environment, leading major account governance and program execution within a laboratory operations context.
The OneSource team provides outsourced professional services in laboratory environments, supporting multiple international sites across Europe and the USA. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for project governance, risk management, and change coordination, embodying leadership, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

About the Role
The Senior Program Manager will:
- Serve as the primary liaison between OneSource and a major global account across Europe and the USA.
- Assist in building and reinforcing operational excellence by embedding frameworks, process improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Lead program governance, including scope management, change control, project timelines, and contingency planning.
- Operate as the central integrator, ensuring consistency in delivery across all account sites.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Program Governance
- Own the governance and operational cycle across all projects and sites, including:
- Scope of work, change requests, renewal schedules, and contract compliance
- Project change control (scope, timelines, resource allocation)
- Contingency planning and contingency management
- Establish and maintain governance mechanisms that standardise processes, reporting, and operational procedures.
- Lead quarterly and monthly customer account reviews, ensuring alignment on KPIs, scope, change management, and financials.

Program Execution & Delivery
- Act as the Policy Owner for every implementation, leading governance reporting, resource planning, and on-time, on-budget execution.
- Oversee multi-workstream programs, aligning with customer needs while ensuring operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Escalate performance issues as needed, collaborating with OneSource senior leadership or customer teams to resolve blockages.
- Ensure action items from reviews are tracked, reported, and closed consistently.
Cultural & Process Leadership
- Develop a high-performing team culture built on honesty, hard work, customer-centricity, and growth mindsets.
- Introduce and embed best practices in operational excellence, including:
- Process improvements (avoiding redundancy, capturing opportunities for growth).
- Renewal timelines and upselling opportunities where applicable.
- Connect operational improvements with the customer’s workflows (e.g., integrations, internal business processes).
- Work extensively with on-site teams and PerkinElmer back-office functions to manage and refine program engagements.
Technical & Reportings
- Create, maintain, and share governance dashboards, reports, and key performance metrics with the broader OneSource team.
- Present program progress and issue status to customer leadership in scheduled meetings.
- Utilise AI tools to enhance productivity and efficiency in reporting.
Required Experience & Skills
Essential Criteria
✔ Minimum of 3 years as a Program Manager or Project Manager ✔ Proven experience in cross-functional global environments (matrix organisations) ✔ Experience in operational roles within a laboratory environment ✔ Fast-paced agility – Managing multiple projects with fluid priorities, tight deadlines, and complex priorities ✔ Equivalent of the following:
- Leadership ability (team alignment, facilitation)
- Interpersonal skills (active listening, clear communication)
- Highly organisational (results-oriented, obstacle-solving) ✔ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (or equivalent) ✔ Bachelor’s degree required (postgraduate preferred)

Highly Preferred
✔ Experience with Six Sigma and quality frameworks ✔ Advanced technical skills including:
- MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project)
- Power BI / Smartsheets / Databases (e.g., SAP, SQL)
- Maximo (Laboratory EHS/Health/Safety tools) onboard preferred ✔ Proficiency with business process mapping and problem-solving methodologies
Tools & Environment
Working Environment
- Primarily remote-based based in the UK
- 25%-30% travel – domestic (Cambridge/Macclesfield), international, and occasional site visits
- Laboratory work – Free to footwear, lab coats, safety glasses (PPE provided).
- Potential requirements:
- Medical Clearance
- Respiratory Protection Training / Fit Testing (for respirator use)
