Global Reward Analyst

Location: Basingstoke/Hybrid

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent - Salaried

Merlin Entertainments is a global leader in branded entertainment, creating memorable experiences for millions of guests through world-famous attractions and resorts including LEGOLAND®, Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, SEA LIFE and Madame Tussauds.

As a Global Reward Analyst, you'll support the delivery and continuous improvement of reward programmes across Merlin. Working closely with People teams and business leaders, you'll provide data-driven insights, manage key reward processes, and help ensure fair, consistent and informed reward decisions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support global salary benchmarking activities, ensuring accurate, high-quality data submissions and collaborating with teams across the business.
  • Lead the job evaluation process, including training stakeholders, facilitating evaluation panels and maintaining consistency in role assessments.
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of Merlin's job architecture, including annual reviews and the introduction of new roles.
  • Manage reward team purchase orders and invoicing, ensuring accurate tracking and timely resolution of queries.
  • Support global mobility activities, including compensation data management and cost recharge processes.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements across multiple regions through data analysis, reporting and process updates.
  • Support the development, testing and continuous improvement of reward tools and processes, partnering with Senior Reward Business Partners on implementation.
  • Help administer annual reward cycles, including pay reviews and bonus processes, acting as a key contact for system and spreadsheet queries.
  • Partner with the People Data team to maintain accurate reward data and job architecture records.
  • Provide reward administration support across incentive plans, bonus communications, total reward statements and other reward programmes.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience of job evaluation and salary benchmarking methodologies (WTW experience beneficial but not essential).
  • Previous reward experience, ideally within a multinational organisation.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business insights.
  • Proven experience delivering cyclical, data-driven reward activities.
  • Good understanding of reward governance and associated processes.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting – Strong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable insights.
  • Analytical Thinking – Able to identify trends, risks and opportunities, using data to support sound decision-making.
  • Attention to Detail – Highly accurate and detail-oriented, ensuring reward data and outputs are reliable and well-governed.
  • Communication Skills – Confident presenting reward information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences.
  • Planning & Organisation – Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while supporting key reward cycles, including pay reviews and bonus processes.
  • Stakeholder Management – Builds effective working relationships across People teams and the wider business, providing responsive and professional support.
  • Continuous Improvement – Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance reward processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Learning Agility – Eager to develop expertise in reward practices, job evaluation, benchmarking and regulatory requirements, applying knowledge to deliver business value.
