About Performance Energy
Performance Energy is a specialist global workforce solutions business delivering technical manpower across the energy sector. We partner with some of the world’s leading operators and service companies, supplying high-calibre technical professionals across offshore, drilling, completions, intervention, production and emerging energy projects.
As we continue to grow internationally, we’re looking for a Sales Director to lead our commercial function, strengthen operational performance and help drive the next phase of our growth. This is a senior leadership role with significant influence across the business and an opportunity to shape how our commercial teams perform in the years ahead.
Why This Role Matters
Performance Energy has reached a stage where strong commercial leadership will define our next phase of growth. We’re looking for a leader who wants to build high-performing teams, create accountability, develop future leaders and drive consistent commercial performance across the business.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of our commercial strategy, influence executive decision-making and leave a lasting impact on the growth of the business.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager who can lead multiple commercial functions, develop high-performing people and create a culture built around accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Work directly with the executive CEO
- Autonomy to strengthen commercial performance, improve cross-functional alignment and build a sales organisation capable of supporting continued international growth
- Focus on developing people, improving systems and raising standards
We do not chase volume or contract awards. We chase high-profit-margin positions with international clientele who see the value in investing in a unique SME business. If you are a volume chaser who is happy with low margins. DO NOT APPLY.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
