The Opportunity
The Global Sustainability Market Engagement Manager enables the organization to systematically anticipate, structure, and respond to sustainability-related customer and stakeholder expectations.
The role supports the transition from reactive, ad-hoc handling of sustainability requests to a proactive, structured, and insight-driven approach, by developing shared response processes, facilitating cross-functional alignment, and translating external market signals into strategic sustainability intelligence.
How you’ll make an impact:

Market & Stakeholder Sustainability Intelligence
- Gather and structure sustainability expectations, requirements, and emerging topics from customers and key stakeholders.
- Identify trends, recurring themes, and early signals relevant to competitiveness, market access, and organizational risk.
- Maintain an overview of sustainability topics with increasing market and stakeholder relevance.

Sustainability Request & Response Process Development
- Develop and continuously improve a structured process to manage sustainability-related customer and stakeholder requests.
- Define clear intake, coordination, prioritization, escalation, and response pathways.
- Enable effective collaboration across Sustainability, Marketing & Sales, Portfolio, Product Management, Supply Chain, Legal, and other functions.

Enable Consistent and Proactive Market Engagement
- Develop guidance, tools, and response frameworks for recurring sustainability topics.
- Support a proactive approach to addressing future sustainability expectations and customer needs.
- Promote alignment of sustainability messaging across regions and businesses.

Strategic Insight & Material Topic Input
- Translate market sustainability insights into input for strategy, materiality assessments, and portfolio development.
- Provide fact-based perspectives on evolving stakeholder expectations and their business implications.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Enablement
- Act as a bridge between Sustainability and customer-facing functions.
- Support sales and account teams with sustainability insights in strategic customer engagements.
- Facilitate collaboration while respecting established governance and decision-making responsibilities.
Your background:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in sustainability, strategy, market engagement, or related business functions
- Strong understanding of sustainability topics relevant to industrial and energy-related markets
- Proven experience working across functions and regions within a complex, global organization
- Ability to structure unstructured inputs and translate them into clear, actionable insights
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:
Italy: starting 76,400 gross annual salary
Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures. This role may be open in multiple locations.
