Job Description

The responsibilities of the Global SVP eCommerce Solutions include developing the strategic roadmap for the ecommerce portfolio, coordinating expansion strategy, and planning for all client accounts. They will oversee the daily activities of the sales team: building a high performing sales team, meeting with clients, writing sales reports, designing effective sales strategies, and marketing company products and services.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive company success. Ultimately, a top-notch individual should have an in-depth knowledge of the market and competitive products and have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

The role reports to the Global President of Intelligence Initiatives.

Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Financial Performance

  • Own global eCommerce solution penetration and profitable revenue growth in partnership with regional teams
  • Track portfolio profitability and drive EBITDA improvement
  • Develop and manage global and regional sales strategies aligned to the NIQ eCommerce strategy. Regional sales teams will be a dotted line into the role while global sales teams will be directly managed
  • Set, manage, and deliver against quarterly and annual sales targets and budgets

Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement

  • Define and execute the global eCommerce go-to-market strategy
  • Partner with product marketing, sales enablement, and regional leaders to create sales plays, campaigns, commercial decks, proposals, rate cards, demo scripts, and objection-handling playbooks
  • Build and maintain buyer personas and a centralized buyer persona database
  • Clearly articulate value propositions aligned to client business challenges and KPIs

Client Leadership & Commercial Excellence

  • Serve as senior global leader on major RFI/RFP engagements
  • Lead or support executive-level client and T2T eCommerce discussions
  • Identify whitespace, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Establish a repeatable process for generating client case studies

Product, Innovation & Market Insight

  • Act as global SPOC with Product and P&L teams to shape product roadmap and priorities
  • Provide market-backed input based on client feedback, RFPs, competitive analysis, and trends
  • Identify new use cases and vertical growth opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity

Partnerships, Alliances & M&A

  • Define and lead the global partnership and M&A strategy for the eCommerce portfolio
  • Build and manage a pipeline of strategic partners and acquisition opportunities

Leadership, Talent & Operating Model

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global sales organization
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach talent; establish effective training and enablement programs
  • Foster global SME communities to share best practices
  • Coordinate global sales operations with regional teams
  • Provide performance reporting and insights to executive leadership

External Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Represent the company at industry events and client advisory boards
  • Capture early market feedback to inform mid- and long-term strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
  • Master's degree in a business-related field may be advantageous
  • Minimum of 10-15 years experience in a sales leadership position
  • Considerable experience working in a selling role within SaaS
  • Experience in digital shelf and eCommerce solutions will be a decisive advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills

Additional Information

Salary: 121.300,00 GBP to 254.700,00 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
