Global Travel Advisor - Work Placement
Are you looking for the perfect placement to help you complete university with real work experiences? Our Work Placement position will allow you to do just that! You will join our Global Travel Team where you will offer exceptional service to our clients, helping them to create memorable travel experiences across the globe, all whilst gaining invaluable work experience to assist you in completing your studies!
This 12-month paid work placement is designed specifically for undergraduate students in their third-year placement. This role is open exclusively to undergraduates completing a year-long placement as part of their degree programme.
Placement Start Date: 29th June 2026
Placement Duration: 13 months (this includes a one-month handover with our current placement students!)
Location: Either of our UK offices, in Shepherds Bush, London or Witney, Oxfordshire (3 days per week office-based)

About The Role
As part of our Global Travel Team, you will work directly with our clients to understand their interests, when they would like to travel and their budgets to then signpost them to the appropriate destinations to travel to and connect them to their Country Specialist.

You’ll develop a general knowledge of all the destinations that we offer and gain sales and influencing skills to ensure that you are able to research and recommend the most appropriate destination for our clients, whilst communicating the value of booking with us; creating advocacy for the Audley brand and our way of working from the outset.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Act as the first point of contact for the enquiries, contacting our clients to establish their preferences and requirements for their trip
- Using your own knowledge, and where necessary, gaining feedback from our sales programmes, to recommend suitable options for your client that show you have listened to their requirements.
- Take ownership of all enquiries, acting as a single point of contact for that client from the moment they enquire up until they are passed into our sales teams
- Use a variety of sales techniques to move the general enquiry to a destination-specific lead
- Ensure a high level of enquiry conversion through excellence in product knowledge, sales techniques, the quality of your interactions with clients, your level of service and your passion for Audley Travel and what we offer
- Attend client events as required and be a champion for Audley Travel’s brand and values
Audley Travel operates a 7-day week experience for our clients. Working with us, you can expect the majority of your time to be worked between the hours of 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday, alongside one evening per week. In addition, you will be expected to work weekends with corresponding days off during the week. To help you continue to plan your personal lives, we share these rotas one quarter in advance.

About You
You are looking to work and develop experience in a customer-facing environment, delivering high levels of service and gaining broad experience within the Travel industry.
You’re a committed team player with a desire to work to the highest of standards.

- Able to analyse any potential issues and problem-solve effectively
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Attention to details and administration skills
- MS Office skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work under tight deadlines
