Role Overview
As our Global Visual Merchandising Coordinator, you’ll be part of the Customer Experience team, working across the business and reporting to the Global Visual Merchandising Manager. You’ll be at the heart of fast-moving projects shaping how Dr. Martens presents itself to consumers—today and in the future.
Where You Contribute
This role focuses on developing the future visual merchandising proposition, ensuring our products are presented, organised, and brought to life effectively across all store formats.
Your contributions will include:
- Defining product layout and zoning principles
- Developing product presentation and storytelling approaches
- Enhancing in-store navigation and customer flow through visual merchandising
The role ensures future concepts are: ✅ Clear – Easy to understand for customers ✅ Consistent – Cohesive across all stores ✅ Commercially impactful – Driving sales and brand engagement
You’ll collaborate with Retail Design & Concepts to align physical tools, fixtures, and hardware with the broader retail concept and design language. Your focus ensures end-to-end retail concepts deliver immersive, consumer-led experiences.

Core Responsibilities
As Global Visual Merchandising Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the development of future Visual Merchandising (VM) concepts, ensuring alignment with Retail Acceleration priorities, store formats, and brand strategy.
- Defining product layout, zoning, and navigation principles for intuitive customer journeys while optimising category visibility and commercial performance.
- Developing and maintaining VM presentation standards—including:
- Hero product placement
- Category storytelling
- Product density
- Space allocation—to balance brand impact and sales outcomes.
- Contributing to VM concept creation, testing, and refinement for pilot stores and new retail formats, while:
- Managing digital mock-up assets
- Overseeing fixtures and product libraries
- Capturing and analysing key learnings.
- Partnering with Retail Design, Retail Experience, and Retail Marketing teams to deliver seamless in-store experiences, including producing:
- VM playbooks
- Guidelines and presentations
- Stakeholder communication materials.
Key Skills & Qualifications
We’re looking for people who:

✔ Understand how product layout, zoning, and store navigation influence:
- Customer behaviour
- Commercial performance
