Global XB Technical Subject Matter Expert
London Market Insurance | Global Broking Systems | Application Support | Hybrid (Milton Keynes – 1 day per week)
£55,000 + Excellent Benefits
Do you have deep technical expertise supporting Global XB within the London Market insurance sector?
Have you worked with one of the major insurance brokers supporting business-critical broking applications, resolving complex issues, configuring systems and advising users?
If so, we'd like to hear from you.
We're recruiting on behalf of one of the world's leading insurance groups, employing over 24,000 people across 56 countries. Employee ownership sits at the heart of their business, creating a collaborative culture where technical expertise is valued and long-term careers are built.
As part of continued investment in their London Market technology estate, they're looking for an experienced Global XB Technical Subject Matter Expert to become the technical authority for one of their most critical business applications.
Why this role?
Global XB remains a core platform supporting complex commercial insurance and reinsurance operations across the London Market.
While the platform is now classed as a heritage solution by DXC, it continues to underpin many major insurance brokers, with organisations gradually modernising their technology estates over several years rather than replacing core broking systems overnight.
Within this business, Global XB supports around 1,200 users, with a further 400 users scheduled to migrate onto the platform as part of an ongoing transformation programme.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the platform remains robust, reliable and well supported while helping shape its future.
The Role
This is far more than a traditional support position.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
