Job Description

Location: Bristol, Hybrid.

In this position, you’ll be based in the Bristol office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

We are currently on the lookout for a GI.Systems Monitoring Engineer to come and join our Operations Support Systems team here at Computershare. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to join us at a time where you will have a real opportunity to impart your knowledge and develop your skills further.

The GI.Systems Monitoring Engineer role has global responsibilities, across all regions in the Operations Support Systems space, and will be responsible for the Operational health, administration, development, automation, and support of Computershare’s global Monitoring and Alerting Management platforms and associated integrations.

A role you will love

The primary purpose of the GI.Systems Monitoring Engineer role is to deliver quality monitoring platforms and services, on which the wider audiences find accessible to leverage and achieve insight of their infrastructure and applications performance & capacity through the well designed and maintained monitoring platforms.

You will have the opportunity to operate on a fully remote basis and manage your work and time as you see fit.

Some Key Responsibilities

Fulfil day to day tasks, or as allocated, and provide technical guidance across the team, Mgt., and business stakeholders globally. Technical management and maintenance of Computershare Monitoring toolsets. A core responsibility of the role is to ensure the Monitoring Engineer is providing input into the technical direction, Monitoring standards, policies, and Reporting on the services we provide. Working closely with key internal stakeholders, the Monitoring Engineer is to ensure their requests are met and communication on delivery of services are reset to agreed dates. Other Systems Management duties or tasks as assigned by management will occur on this high demand team, therefore flexibility in the role will be required to be successful.

What will you bring to the role?

You will have strong working experience with advanced monitoring concepts, application monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, automation, good troubleshooting skills and reporting.

It would be great if you have experience working with peers and stakeholders across various global locations, as you will need to collaborate effectively to ensure we are delivering what is required to our customers and the business.

Other Key Skills Required For The Role Include

Enterprise Systems Monitoring, spanning infrastructure, Application Performance Monitoring and Modern log style tooling Automation of processes (e.g., Scripting, Azure automation) Experience coding Client /Server technologies with the core focus on Microsoft Server technologies LAN/WAN/Internet/Extranet Network technologies, Service Desk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)

Non-Technical Skills

Keeps knowledge up to date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology practices and standards. Able to follow set processes & procedures and highlight potential improvements (inc. Change Management) Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
