The Role
We are currently seeking a Gluten Free Blend Operative to join our Production team at Newly Weds Foods (Banbury). This is a hands on role within our Gluten Free Blend department, where quality, food safety and teamwork are critical.
You will play a key part in ensuring our gluten free products are manufactured safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Quality
- Weighing, mixing, packing, stacking and handling raw materials and finished products
- Manufacturing products to specification, ensuring correct packaging and labelling
- Maintaining strict adherence to Corporate Quality Standards at all times
- Understanding and operating within HACCP critical control points
Documentation & Compliance
- Completing production paperwork accurately and on time
- Inputting required records into computer systems
- Supporting updates to work instructions and procedures when required
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work area in line with Corporate Sanitation Standards
- Working safely in accordance with company procedures and the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Reporting hazards or concerns to your shift or department manager
General Duties
- Supporting annual stock takes
- Undertaking training and assisting with training of new or existing team members
- Carrying out other reasonable duties within the scope of the role

Person Specification
Essential
- Literate and numerate
- Reliable, methodical and calm under pressure
- Flexible approach to work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to follow company procedures and health & safety rules
Desirable
- Previous food manufacturing experience (ideally FMCG)
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications
- Reach truck and/or PPT licence

Other Information
Gluten-free Blend Production Operative on B Shift days 0700 – 1900.
Starting salary £30,985.53 + 18% shift allowance = £36,562.93 (during training)
£34,428.78 +18% =£40,635.68 once fully trained.
