This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Go Developer - AI & ML based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to develop innovative cloud-based artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions within a fully remote, international engineering environment.
You will contribute to building scalable platforms that empower developers and businesses to leverage advanced cloud technologies.
The position combines Go development expertise, machine learning infrastructure, Kubernetes, and cloud-native engineering.
You will work on impactful products that improve how AI and ML workloads are deployed, managed, and scaled.
Collaborating with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, you will help shape reliable, high-performance solutions.

Accountabilities
The Go Developer - AI & ML will design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions supporting artificial intelligence and machine learning services. The role requires strong engineering skills, a focus on performance and reliability, and the ability to collaborate in a remote-first environment.
- Develop and maintain efficient, scalable Go code for machine learning components within a cloud platform.
- Design and improve AI and ML-related services, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Apply concurrency patterns such as goroutines and channels to optimize application performance.
- Build, test, and optimize software solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Improve code quality through refactoring, documentation, optimization, and implementation of best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to support engineering excellence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed cloud environments.
- Stay current with Go language developments, libraries, frameworks, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the evolution of AI and machine learning services, including existing platforms and new product initiatives.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is a skilled software engineer with experience in Go development, cloud technologies, and machine learning systems. You should be comfortable working with distributed architectures and collaborating within a global remote team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with strong experience in Go preferred.
- Proven experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience deploying machine learning solutions in production environments.
- Experience developing Kubernetes Operators.
- Strong understanding of API design and development principles, including RESTful APIs.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Experience working in asynchronous Agile software teams is a plus.
- Experience building and training machine learning models is highly valued.
- Familiarity with WebSockets, microservices architectures, and distributed systems is beneficial.
- 2+ years of experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Experience with web development frameworks such as Gorilla, Gin, or Echo is advantageous.
- Previous experience working in fully remote organizations is preferred.
