Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Golang Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable, resilient backend platforms within a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting distributed microservices that process high volumes of transactions while maintaining performance, reliability and security.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with modern cloud-native technologies, and contributing to the design of highly scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services using Golang.
  • Build and enhance scalable microservices architectures supporting critical business functions.
  • Develop high-performance, resilient applications capable of handling large transaction volumes.
  • Design and implement event-driven solutions using messaging technologies.
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams and engineers to deliver robust solutions.
  • Participate in system design discussions, technical reviews and architectural decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance improvements across distributed systems.

  • Promote engineering best practices including testing, observability, security and automation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
