Golang Engineer - Full Stack
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Central London)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
We're partnering with an established international digital marketplace business to recruit an experienced Full Stack Engineer, Golang. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team building products used by millions of users across multiple international markets.
The business operates a portfolio of successful online platforms and is investing heavily in technology, AI-assisted engineering practices, and product innovation. You'll work on large-scale, customer-facing applications where your contributions will have real impact.
The Opportunity
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable software across both frontend and backend systems. Working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams, you'll help deliver new features, improve platform performance, and contribute to the evolution of a modern, cloud-based technology stack.
The engineering team embraces AI-assisted development and spec-driven engineering, providing an environment focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable full stack applications.
- Build clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Develop new user-facing features and backend services.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed services.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
- Optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full technology stack.
- Develop and maintain automated testing to ensure code quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in development processes, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and modern software development approaches.
About You
You'll be an experienced Full Stack Engineer with a passion for building scalable, high-quality software in a collaborative environment.

You'll ideally have experience with:
- Commercial experience as a Senior or Lead Golang Engineer
- Agentic Development and/or Spec-Driven Development methodologies
- Vue.js and Nuxt.js
- HTML, CSS and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Frontend build tools and package managers
- Responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Designing and building RESTful APIs
- gRPC and microservices architecture
- SQL and NoSQL databases
- Git version control
- Containerisation and deployment technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
