Software Engineer – InfoSum @ WPP

About the Role
As a Software Engineer at InfoSum, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs. You will work collaboratively across teams to deliver innovative products that drive business success.
Core Responsibilities

Software Development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and features using industry best practices and coding standards.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets functional and performance requirements.

Technical Design
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical designs and architecture.
- Participate in architectural discussions, propose solutions, and recommend system improvements.

Problem Solving
- Analyze and resolve complex technical problems with creative solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement fixes to ensure system stability and reliability.

Quality Assurance
- Develop automated tests for software validation.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high code quality.
- Support quality assurance activities to guarantee compliance with requirements.

Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, code comments, and system diagrams.
- Record software components, APIs, and integration points to facilitate knowledge sharing.

Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, operations) to deliver successful software projects.
- Communicate effectively to achieve project goals and timelines.

Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to refine processes and contribute to team growth.
Additional Company Requirements
- Compliance with InfoSum’s security and privacy policies—information security awareness must be prioritised.
Requirements
Essential
- 4+ years of experience with Go (preferred).
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with API design, JSON schemas, and Docker.
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Nice-to-Have
- JavaScript experience.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with containerization (Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and Precision with detail.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
