Golang Software Engineer

Build the Future of Customer Loyalty

We're looking for a passionate Golang Software Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for delivering a modern Loyalty & Benefits platform used by millions of customers worldwide.

This is an opportunity to work on a cloud-native, microservices-based platform built using modern technologies including Golang, Kafka, Docker, and event-driven architectures. You'll help design, develop, and enhance services within the Account domain while collaborating with engineers across the wider platform to deliver innovative, scalable, and resilient solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
  • Build and enhance features within a modern microservices architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver customer-centric solutions
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of the global Loyalty & Benefits platform
  • Ensure quality through automated testing and CI/CD best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and promote engineering excellence
  • Work closely with engineers across the platform to share knowledge and drive innovation
  • Support production deployments and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills

  • Commercial experience with at least one strongly typed backend programming language (Golang preferred)
  • Experience building and supporting microservices-based architectures
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous messaging systems
  • Experience with event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Golang
    • Kafka
    • PostgreSQL
    • Docker
    • gRPC
    • GraphQL
    • Git
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices including:
    • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
    • Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
    • Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery
  • Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins, or similar delivery and DevOps tooling
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
