Debt Capital Markets Team Overview
The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Team plays a critical role within Asset & Wealth Management, sourcing, negotiating, and executing financing agreements for funds and products managed by Goldman Sachs. Responsible for maintaining global consistency in terms and adherence to risk management principles, the team fosters key client relationships to originate and optimise debt capital essential to portfolio performance.

We are now seeking an Associate in London to support financing and refinancing efforts for portfolio companies within our Private Equity, Infrastructure, and Sustainability funds.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Negotiating and executing financing transactions for private equity portfolio companies, in close coordination with investment deal teams
- Developing and nurturing key lending and debt advisory relationships within the private equity financing landscape
- Supporting deal teams and portfolio company management in financing needs, refinancing, and exit preparation
- Collaborating with DCM team members across investment verticals to innovate new financing structures and solutions
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in asset management, preferably within a fund capital markets team, lending institution, or debt advisory context
- Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes and financing structures
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while delivering successful outcomes
- Exceptional analytical and technical skills
- Preferred: Experience with interest rate and FX hedges
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity
