Debt Capital Markets Team Overview

The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team within Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management focuses on:

  • Ensuring global consistency in loan terms while upholding robust risk management

Role: Associate at Goldman Sachs (London-Based)

Job Overview

We are seeking an Associate to support financing and refinancing efforts for portfolio companies within our Private Equity, Infrastructure and Sustainability funds.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Act as a key collaborator with private equity investment teams during debt capital raising initiatives, including:
    • Negotiating and executing financing transactions for portfolio companies
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with lending institutions, debt advisors, and counterparties to expand the firm’s private debt financing capabilities
  • Assist portfolio company management teams on ongoing financing needs, debt restructurings, and exit scenarios
  • Partner with cross-investment vertical teams to:
    • Develop innovative financing solutions
    • Meet evolving client demands

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in asset management, preferably in:
    • A fund capital markets team
    • Large lending institutions
    • Debt advisory roles
  • Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes and:
    • Private debt financing structures
  • Excellent ability to:
    • Prioritise multiple projects concurrently
    • Manage deadlines effectively and deliver results
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Experience with:
    • Interest rate hedging
    • Forex hedging, preferred (but not required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Upholds the highest caliber of work ethic and personal integrity
