About the role:
The JCB Golf & Country Club, is constructed on a 240-acre site, sat next to the multi-national engineering and construction giant JCB. Set in the rolling Staffordshire countryside and boasting a 7308-yard par 72 championship golf course, JCB G&CC was designed to not only host our corporate members and guests, but to include an Annual Professional Championship. For 2026 we are proud to announce we will host LIV GOLF UK - as their sole event to be held on UK soil.
Our Golf Academy Team are one of the first faces our golfers interact with. As a result, we are searching for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and presentable individual with a golfing background to work alongside our current team. The mission is to provide outstanding, world class member and guest services leaving memorable experiences along the way.
Please note a full DBS check will be carried out at offer stage.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Welcome Members and Guests to the Golf Club, ensuring to assist with any requests they may have
- Operate a Till System to process daily Golf Shop Sales
- Merchandise and replenish stock to ensure a world class retail presentation
- Manage & organise a storeroom of shop stock – including the receiving of stock and monthly stock takes
- Oversee the presentation of two Coaching studios and one Putting studio
- Assist with Member & Guest Golf Activities
- Manage the practice facilities & Buggy Fleet Management
- Being an integral part of delivering Annual Professional Championship
- To complete all H&S training and inductions

This will be suited to you if:
- You have a passion for developing a career in golf
- Working previously in the golf industry is desirable but not essential
- You exhibit a welcoming ‘can do’ attitude to any request made by member or guest
- Taking great pride in all that you do
- Knowledge of a retail operation
- Sufficient IT skills
- Always looking for opportunities to enhance the member and guest experience
- You must be presentable, punctual, well organised and enthusiastic
- Passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the JCB Golf & Country Club brand
- You handle feedback in a professional manner and respond well to tasks given
- A broad knowledge of Golf – including etiquette, various formats and local rules
- Flexibility is crucial as the role will include weekend working hours
- PGA Qualified or Trainee preferred, but not required
What happens next?
