Job Description
About the Role
As Goods Inward / Manual Inspector, you will:
- Perform goods inward inspection, measuring internally manufactured parts and verifying externally received product.
- Support the creation and verification of First Article Inspection Reports against AS 9102 standards.

Working Hours
Full-time: 39 hours/week Core shift:
- Monday–Thursday: 6.45 am – 3.30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch break)
- Friday: 7.00 am – 1.00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Goods Inward Inspection, ensuring compliance with:
- Design specifications.
- Contractual requirements.
- Provide progress updates (including delays and missed deadlines).
- Identify and record non-conformances in specification by:
- Liaising with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Generate and assist with compiling internal First Article Inspection Reports.
- Review incoming materials and integrate them into the company’s ERP system for tracking.
- Maintain Control and inspection records, aiming to optimise inspection efficiency through the ship-to-stock process.
- Interpret and apply engineering drawings.
- Use manual measuring techniques for precise dimensional control.
- Participate in internal audits as required.
- Segregate defective items from good product via quality control measures.
- Raise and document all non-conformance reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols, following health & safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

Essential Requirements
✔ Right to live and work in the UK.
✔ Experience in a similar Goods Inward/Manual Inspection role.
✔ Proficiency in using manual measuring equipment.
✔ Demonstrated attention to detail, with ability to maintain high accuracy in measurements.
✔ Understanding of tolerances and specifications as per engineering drawings.
Desirable
�legd; Knowledge of manual inspection, ISO 9100, and related processes.
�lements; Industry qualifications or _timer served in machining.
�middle; Security clearance.
Qualifications
- GCSEs/O-Levels (minimum entry standard).
- Technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ).
- Proficiency in IT (MS Word & Excel).
- Experience via Full Apprenticeship in machining or related trades (desirable).
