Incoming Inspector

Location: Belfast, United Kingdom

Job Summary

The Incoming Inspector will oversee the validation and acceptance of products arriving at Goods Inwards. You will ensure compliance with quality standards while managing cross-functional processes to maintain excellent supply chain performance.


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for:

  • Validating incoming products against Purchase Orders and Certificates of Contrcomformity (CoC).
  • Rejecting non-conforming items and coordinating returns with suppliers.
  • Maintaining certificates and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluating engineering drawings and specifications while ensuring compliance.
  • Auditing internal processes to assess adherence to AS9100 and Space Industry standards.
  • Driving quality improvements and refining industry protocols.
  • Conducting Quality Investigations using structured methodologies (e.g., 8D, 3C).
  • Performing supplementary duties, including multi-tasking in other manufacturing areas if required.

Key Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, space, or defenceindustry.
  • Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field, or extensive hands-on expertise.
  • Preferred: ISO9001/AS9100 auditing qualification.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong ERP system knowledge.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in quality assurance tools (e.g., audits, corrective action reporting).
