Job Overview
£32k Per Annum (40 hours/week) Location: Oxford, OX1

About the Role
Our Goods Receiver/Stores operates at the heart of our team, ensuring:
- Efficient logistics: Handling, organising, and distributing all incoming deliveries—from air-modified boxes to heavy stocks—with precision.
- Stock excellence: Rotating goods to maintain freshness while conducting regular inventory controls and accurate record keeping.
- Compliance: Ensuring Food Hygiene & Health & Safety standards remain impeccable at all times (including training-ready coworkers and reporting issues).
- On-site impact: Supporting menu accuracy by distributing stock where needed and helping “organise offices, stadiums, and event areas” so that our operations continue running seamlessly.
- Collaborative experience: Working closely with kitchen staff, facility teams, and management to optimise workflows and resolve challenges.
This is more than just storing supplies—it’s keeping the entire operation on track.
Responsibilities
- Delivery & Reception
- Receive and log incoming deliveries, ensuring they are accurate, undamaged, and correctly stored.
- Cross-check invoices against stock to maintain financial and inventory accuracy.

Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels proactively, place orders to prevent shortages, and track perishables for rotation.
- Perform monthly/targeted stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.

Safety & Compliance
- Uphold strict Food Hygiene & Safety standards—handling, cleaning, and reporting hazards promptly.
- Ensuring all storage areas are neat, ventilated, and accessed by authorised personnel only.

Teamwork & Support
- Deliver stock to kitchens and locations across multiple sites as required.
- Assist in critical operations (e.g., special events) when necessary to ensure smooth execution.

Continuous Improvement
- Suggest and adopt operational efficiencies: perhaps streamlining processes, reporting waste reduction opportunities to site leadership.
Requirements
- No formal qualifications required, but a secondary school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Physical readiness: ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 30kg+ (team trains safely), and demonstrate stamina during busy shifts.
- Attention to detail—accuracy matters when reconciling deliveries or reporting discrepancies!
- Kitchen basics: practical familiarity with appliance and sanitation protocols is an advantage.
- Team mindset: confident in communicating, working collaboratively, and adapting to fast changes.
